Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. not being the 45-minute lovechild of James Bond, Adam West’s Batman, and Iron Man 3’s end credits has left me unconditionally disappointed.

Wasted potential all around.

Bram Velsing is a Latverian scientist, unsatisfied with serving Doctor Doom whom he referred to as a “grotesque mockery” and thought himself as his superior. Upon learning of Velsing’s treacherous ideals, Doom permanently grafts a skull-like cybernetic helmet to Velsing’s head, scarring him.

I just now found out about this guy (exposing the big gap in my Thunderbolts knowledge). He needs to be involved in contemporary Marvel, stat.

I wanted to make these two posts rebloggable to let everyone know 1) How awesome Matt Fraction is as both a person and a writer, and 2), more importantly: Hawkeye #7, whose sales will partially be going towards Hurricane Sandy relief (thanks to Fraction himself), is now that much more kid friendly and widely accessible.

I still keep futiley hoping for Carol Danvers to be the pilot, and this is a problem because I know I’ll have a hard trouble enduring the disappointment when it ultimately doesn’t have a BAMF female pilot lead.

It would be a cool way to integrate her into the movieverse, as well as explaining how she gets her Kree powers.

It’s a win-win. We either get a great leading woman, or an obscure/under-appreciated character gets some spotlight. I admit choosing Carol Danvers is the nobler endeavor, but my inner Cosmic fan craves Jack rightfully running around with the Guardians.

I want movieverse Carol Danvers Captain Marvel something BAD. I think if they gave her her powers in a previous film like Avengers 2 or Guardians, they could really have her carry her own film.

You know, considering the renaissance and revitalization of Carol (as the new Captain Marvel), this is actually all entirely possible.

The film is reportedly “about a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.”

The U.S. pilot has to be Jack Flag and it sounds like the movie’s gonna be somewhat from his POV like Hellboy and that one agent and asklgnfsdklgnflk

As I was going over about three weeks’ worth of laundry, I found this in the SDCC layer. One of the coolest comics/Marvel/Doom graphics I’ve ever seen.
Thanks again to Ife for snagging it for me!

I’m so far behind on weekly/monthly comics that I have basically slated myself. If/When I do get back into things, I’m gonna start with these four.

What’s everyone been reading lately? Got any recommendations?
